About

“Spira Mirabilis” for “Line Describing a Cone” was painted for an exhibition at the Katonah Museum of Art. Fibonacci, the most important mathematician of the Middle Ages discovered a sequence or formula that represents a growth pattern in nature and math. “Spira Mirabilis”  is the diagram of the Fibonacci Sequence. My choice of a dark blue field is a nod to my series “Profondo” from Sky Elements. This midnight deep blue sky depicting vastness and the silver drawing emulating the Light of Enlightenment.
