Hommage to On Kawara was created for the Hammond Museum, Time and Place Exhibition. The painting is a chart of the museums location, the exact days of the exhibition and the sunrise and sunset hours on those days. On Kawara was an internationally acclaimed Conceptual artist who removed personal emotion from his art making it pure information. His most well known works are about the passage and marking of time. “One Million Years” is a written and performance piece that is still being presented in cities around the world.
